Maintaining Interests

"If your religion can’t function properly when hatred for people who aren’t hurting anyone is removed, maybe it’s not a very solid religion. Somehow, I think your religion will survive letting me marry a girl someday and if I felt the desire to, be intimate with her. It has survived letting women be human beings and not property, it has survived women being allowed to follow their own dreams and not the wishes of their husbands, it has survived people eating forbidden foods, and wearing mixed fibers. I think the religion will survive letting people who are in love express it to each other. I’m pretty sure your God won’t be angry or he wouldn’t have made people and animals gay in the first place."
